Our story

A neighborhood kitchen

Saboor has cooked for Alameda for a quarter century. Angela's is his kitchen: Afghan dishes he grew up with, Mediterranean braises and grills, and the produce of Northern California — organic, local, naturally raised, bought from growers he knows by name.

Everything is cooked in small batches: lamb braised until it falls apart, kofta charred on the flat-top, eggplant roasted until it turns sweet. Restaurant cooking, priced so you can eat it on a Tuesday.
